Some of our success stories.
Success story: Delicate merchandise

Do you want to know how we solved the difficulty of our client (based in Spain and factory in Holland) to obtain the necessary customs permits to export their delicate product at a controlled temperature on weekends to Russia?
Jorge's company exported its super delicate product at a controlled temperature during weekend operations to Russia.
We solved our client's difficulty in obtaining customs permits thanks to very proactive internal communication between customs, air, operations and commercial departments to resolve customs requirements, visits and inquiries to the General Directorate of Customs. On the other hand, thanks to direct coordination and follow-up with the client in Spain, its factory in Holland and with the transport company that picks up in Holland and delivers it to the Barcelona airport.
🤔 How do you feel when you try to coordinate between different intermediaries in different countries and it doesn’t work out?
😦 What goes through your head when for your product, so delicate, you need to go through complex customs procedures and you doubt that it has a green light?
😠 What do you think when everything happens on the weekend and all the offices are closed?

Success story: Import duties

Do you know the tax benefits of your imported products as well as the possible savings in tariffs?
Do you want to know how our clients have been able to save up to € 200,000 / 6.5% of purchase value in tariffs?
Daniel's company bought raw materials for the manufacture of plastic products, which he then largely exported. He suffered a lot, with very tight purchase prices and wanted to improve his prices to be more competitive.
From BAS & JOSA we proposed the purchase of raw material from your supplier without dispatching and importing directly to your name, so you can recover 6.5% of the value of the merchandise that will later be used for export.
🤔 How do you feel when your freight forwarder outsources Customs Services and you have realized that your Customs Processes are not optimized?
😦 Do you know that Customs Clearance is a procedure before the Ministry of Finance, and that an erroneous procedure can produce penalties and extra expenses?
😠 What goes through your head when you discover that you are paying avoidable costs and that make you less competitive?

Success story: Air transfers

Are you tired of the covid19 chaos and not being able to predict the situation that can change every day? Would you like to know how our clients were able to deliver 85% of their cargo from Asia to LatAm / Africa despite the massive cancellation of flights by Covid19?
The Covid19 pandemic brought many problems to the logistics industry. Due to the massive cancellation of air connections, one of them was air cargo shipments from Asia to many destinations in Latin America and Africa. This problem was compounded when Covid, pharmaceuticals, chemicals, and other essentials had to be shipped and there were no options to ship them to most of these destinations.
Our priority is to provide personalized solutions to our clients and partners based on each particular situation, when many of our friends and agents both in Asia and Latin America explained this situation to us, we made the decision to create our AIR TRANSPORTATION SERVICE from ASIA to LATIN AMERICA and AFRICA receiving cargo from Asia and transshipping it mainly from Madrid to Latin America and from other airports to Africa. This service has been very successful and thanks to it we have been able to move hundreds of tons to different destinations. This service became a very good alternative to flights via the USA / MIA with many problems of congestion and customs controls and others.
Transshipment procedures at MAD are very flexible and we have not had any serious issues with customs or other controls. The procedure is fast and in a short time we can organize the transfer to the final destination. It has been more than a year since we started this service, and it continues to be very useful to many of our partners who continue to ship cargo to many destinations.
🤔 How do you feel when your cargo is held at the transit airport due to covid19 congestion?
😦 What do you think when your cargo is under customs inspection at MIA due to incorrect customs formalities carried out by your agent?
😠 What goes through your head when you understand that you could avoid additional costs and be more competitive?

Success story: Import unlocking in Turkey

Do you want to know how our clients were able to unlock 2/3 of their imports in Turkey, when shipping companies stopped offering space and equipment on their ships, due to the collapse and paralysis of Turkish ports and maritime transport as a result of covid19?
Lluís's company exports 30 containers per month from Turkey to different parts of the world. Due to the collapse of Turkish ports caused by the stoppage of maritime transport as a result of COVID, shipping companies stopped offering space and equipment to load on their ships. We had to find an immediate solution since stock was accumulating in the supplier's warehouse, therefore, the merchandise did not reach the end customer.
We decided to negotiate with the shipping company a special contract that our Turkish agent could use for these shipments. In this contract, shipments were prioritized over contracts negotiated in Turkey. In this way we were able to decongest the supplier's warehouse and the merchandise reached its corresponding destinations.
😟 How do you feel when the cargo is stopped for 2-3 months in the port, or in the warehouse, causing stock accumulation and generating storage costs?
😒 What do you think when you need your cargo to be shipped in direct services but the ship ends up calling at 2-3 ports?
😫 What goes through your head when you pay high prices at the port of arrival since the conditions are CIF?
